Mastra Factory is an open-source (Apache 2.0) TypeScript framework for building AI agents and workflows, developed by Mastra. It bridges the gap between rapid prototyping and production-grade systems by providing integrated infrastructure for memory, tool calling, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and observability.

Architecture & Performance Features

Mastra Factory is built on a Multi-Step Agent architecture, enabling agents to reason, plan, and execute complex tasks through a series of logical calls. The framework features a Workflow Engine that supports both deterministic and agentic orchestration, giving developers full control over task execution paths. It natively supports RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) with document chunking, embeddings, and vector store integrations.
